I graduated with a degree in engineering
from Harvey Mudd College before realizing I really didn't like engineering very
much. So I shifted gears and spent the 90's in medical school at UCLA and then
in medical training in Phoenix, Denver, and Phoenix (again). I've been a
neuroradiologist in a large private practice group in Tucson for four years now,
performing procedures and interpreting CT and MRI scans of the brain and spine
in a large private practice group that covers several hospitals in town.
During my last year in L.A., I met my better half, Katie Kramer (Gerard '83),
who was at UCLA for a residency in clinical pharmacy. The following four years
were a blur: engagement, then marriage, then one daughter, then fraternal twin
daughters. I don't recommend having three kids in 16 months, but it's actually
great now that they're older. Amanda is 9-1/2, and Jennifer and Melissa are 8.
Katie is quite busy as a full-time mom, shuttling the girls around the Tucson
foothills for soccer, gymnastics, music lessons, etc. I try to hike, golf, and
watch sports whenever possible, though there never seems to be enough time with
everything else going on. I still foolishly attend Cardinals' games every fall,
thinking that this will finally be the year they turn the corner.
Hard to believe it's been 20 years...look forward to catching up with everyone
at the reunion!
