I'm afraid I don't have an adequate picture
of myself to update for you all, but if you come to the reunion, you'll see me
there.
I'm not quite sure what this profile should be: Curriculum Vitae? A listing of
my personal whereabouts, attachments and accomplishments? A brief sketch of how
I see myself?
I could be mysterious and simply say I have traveled many miles, loved, lost,
and stand before you as a man marked by experiences which have exceeded my every
expectation - for good and ill - but, that probably describes almost all of us.
What I will say is that not a day has gone by that I haven't drawn upon my
education at Brophy, usually the parts not found in textbooks. I consider myself
privileged to be associated with a breed of men who still hold the ideals of
enlightenment close and who aspire to meet the responsibilities of the gifted to
improve the society in which they live. I have returned to Arizona looking for
the home and community I thought I had lost. I am happy to find the friends I
hold dear still at home and a place for me at the hearth.
My many thanks to the classmates, faculty and staff of Brophy which have lent
their support and continue to broaden my horizons at every turn. You're more
beautiful than you know. See you at the party!
